Another great OSCAR ceremony last night in L.A. The film ‘Amour’, in FRENCH, starring French actress Emmanuelle Riva, has won the Oscar 2013 for Best Foreign Language Film. This film already enjoyed award success earlier this month when Ms Riva won the Best Actress Award at the BAFTAs and at the CESARs. Emmanuelle Riva, 85, is also the oldest actress ever to have been nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actress. ‘Amour’ was directed by Michael Haneke, a GERMAN born AUSTRIAN filmmaker and screenwriter.
Great success also last night for Ang Lee, a TAIWANESE film director, screenwriter and producer who won the Oscar for Best Director for ‘Life of Pi’. This film scooped a total of 4 Academy Awards on the night.
